Festival Description : The aim of the festival is to encourage meaningful through provoking films for children and showcase amazing works of Filmmakers from around the world. CIFF was created by Deepak and Jyoti Jain, a couple who both have backgrounds in film and the arts who noticed that despite a plethora of film content, not enough of it was being made available to young cinema enthusiasts in the region.

Festival Description : Sharjah International Children’s Film Festival is the first children film festival in United Arab Emirates. The festival is dedicated to enhance the media literacy of children and young people, foster children's creativity and showcase the very best in filmmaking for, by and about children and young people. The festival play an essential role in bringing international films and new media content for youth and children in the region. It expose them to world cultures and promote peace, tolerance and global understanding of how people from different cultures, religions and backgrounds live together in this world. SICFF is a project of FUNN-Sharjah Media Art for Children and Youth.
